The Rollins Center for Career & Life Planning (CCLP) is committed to building meaningful internship partnerships that benefit both students and employer partners. Internships and employment opportunities allow students to apply their learning, develop career-ready skills, and gain valuable professional experience while providing employers with motivated talent, fresh perspectives, and meaningful organizational support.

To post an internship, part-time, or full-time opportunity or recruit Rollins students and alumni, employers and opportunities must meet the criteria below. Our standards are informed by guidance from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and the Society for Experiential Educators (SEE).

Non-Discrimination & Sexual Harassment Policies

Employers must comply with the Rollins' Equal Opportunity in Employment Policy that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or veteran status. The Rollins College Title IX Policy also prohibits sexual harassment, misconduct, and violence in various forms both on and off campus, including at internship experiences. Recruiting and employment practices must provide an environment free from unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other inappropriate conduct.

Employer & Opportunity Approval

CCLP reviews employers and opportunities to support safe, professional, equitable, and meaningful experiences for Rollins students and alumni. CCLP reserves the right to decline, remove, or suspend an employer, opportunity, or recruiting activity that does not meet these expectations.

This may include concerns related to discrimination or harassment; student safety; fraudulent, misleading, or inaccurate information; inappropriate or exploitative employment practices; violations of applicable law; or failure to follow CCLP or Rollins College policies.

Approval of an employer or opportunity does not constitute an endorsement by Rollins College.

How We Support Employers

By providing highly qualified applicants from a variety of majors and minors, we can help reduce your time-to-fill metrics, thereby saving you money and improving your company's recruitment and retention efforts.

  • Internships & Experiential Learning

An educational work experience that provides students with the opportunity to gain career-related skills in a real-world setting. Internships and job shadowing can provide employers the opportunity to observe a student's performance and can serve as a pipeline for future talent. Internships may be paid or unpaid, full-time or part-time. Students can complete internships during the academic year as well as the summer. Students may also earn academic credit for an approved internship.

Information for Employers Hiring International Students

Employers concerned about liability related to employment of international students in the U.S. due to complicated federal laws governing non-citizens may benefit from the following information on how international students may work legally in the U.S.

Getting employment authorization for international students to work in the U.S. is not as difficult as many employers think. Most international students in the U.S. are in a non-immigrant classification of F-1 or J-1. These classifications do permit employment under certain conditions.
