Recognizing that many business students enter statistics courses with anxiety and self-doubt, Haddad focuses on demystifying the subject by making content immediate, relevant, and interactive. Drawing on her corporate background and more than 14 years of teaching, she begins with simple, relatable examples that show students how statistics connects to everyday life.

A central element of her approach is the strategic use of technology. By breaking course assignments into manageable segments and using Excel as a hands-on learning tool, she helps students build confidence while seeing results in real time. This philosophy shaped the fourth edition of her textbook, Business Statistics, which now includes customizable Excel files to support active learning.

Grounded in the liberal arts ethos, Haddad’s work exemplifies teaching excellence by nurturing critical thinking, interpretation, and responsible decision-making in a data-driven world. As computation becomes increasingly automated, she encourages students to focus on storytelling, insight generation, and ethical use of AI—skills that elevate their competitive edge. Her approach underscores that statistics education is not just technical training, but a transformative experience that empowers students to become confident, data-literate professionals prepared for modern business challenges.
