Voicu has spent 26 years in academia, driven by a passion for research, learning, and student mentorship. Throughout her tenure at Rollins College, she has focused her career milestones around student impact, scholarly work in international economics and trade, and organizational leadership, including a term as chair of the Department of Economics.
Among her proudest achievements is establishing and leading the Kathleen W. Rollins Women in Finance Program. The initiative connects students directly with industry leaders, mentors, and professional opportunities, preparing the next generation of female leaders.
Looking at the broader finance and academic sectors, Voicu cited women's access to finance careers, financial literacy, economic empowerment, and the integration of artificial intelligence into education as some of the most pressing issues today. She defined effective leadership as the ability to "inspire, empower, elevate," while noting that a common misconception about her field is that professors only teach classes and maintain flexible schedules.
