Rollins has been recognized as the No. 7 DII college in the nation by College Raptor, an online college-planning platform that helps students explore colleges, scholarships, academic programs, and financial aid. The ranking also places Rollins at No. 1 among DII colleges in Florida.
To develop the list and school ratings, College Raptor first examined publicly available data and used a proprietary methodology that considers factors related to academic quality, student success, and the overall college experience.
With 21 varsity sports spanning men’s and women’s competition, Rollins Athletics has a long-standing tradition of competitive excellence, with 23 national championships and 98 Sunshine State Conference (SSC) championships across its history. The Tars have also claimed 10 SSC Mayor’s Cup championships, underscoring the College’s sustained success across its athletic programs.
“Rollins Athletics has allowed me to thrive both athletically and academically,” says business management major Gabby Boyd ’26 ’27MBA, who was named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District women’s soccer honoree for academic excellence. “Our athletics programs place a strong emphasis on academic success. I’ve always felt supported by my faculty—not just to perform in the classroom but also to excel on the field. That support has created an environment where I can truly push myself. I’m also incredibly grateful for the consistent guidance from my coaching staff, who have helped me become the best student-athlete I can be.”
Boyd’s experience reflects a broader culture of academic achievement across Rollins Athletics. For the 15th consecutive year, Rollins earned the NCAA Division II President’s Award for Academic Excellence, which recognizes institutions with an academic success rate of 90 percent or higher. In 2025, Rollins student-athletes achieved a 98 percent success rate, ranking first in the SSC and third in the nation.
Rollins’ continued recognition for both athletic and academic excellence reflects the College’s commitment to providing student-athletes with the support and opportunities to succeed on the field, in the classroom, and throughout their lives and careers.
