Rollins College Named Among Top 25 Most Beautiful Campuses

Rollins College was ranked the No. 24 Most Beautiful Campus this year by The Princeton Review’s The Best 392 Colleges.

Rollins was also ranked in the top 25 colleges in a handful of additional categories: No. 7 for Best Health Services, No. 10 for Best Campus Food (up from No. 15), No. 22 for Best Classroom Experience, No. 22 for Best Quality of Life, No. 16 for Best College City, and No. 23 for Best College Dorms.

Only about 15 percent of America’s 2,800 four-year colleges are profiled in the 2027 edition of the college guidebook, which includes detailed profiles of colleges based on data collected by The Princeton Review on academic offerings and surveys of enrolled students.

In its overall profile on Rollins, this year’s guide quotes extensively from surveyed students, who describe the College as emphasizing “community engagement” and “hands-on experience.” Students point to opportunities to apply classroom learning to “tackling real-world projects,” including public relations work for a local nonprofit and providing evidence-based solutions to a company’s human resources team. They also praise Rollins professors, who “are absolutely life-changing,” with one student explaining, “My professors are incredible and truly aim to have their students succeed and actually take something away from the lecture that can be applicable to their day-to-day lives.” Small class sizes “feel more personal, and you’re able to connect to the professor,” while study abroad opportunities make global learning accessible, with one student noting that “your scholarships travel with you and there are lots of options for long- and short-term programs.”

The Most Beautiful Campus

When students aren’t in class, they can be found enjoying the breathtaking campus and out on Mills Lawn, a popular spot for studying, picnics, and playing games. Students added that the accessibility of the lake and the beach makes it easy to take advantage of the free lake activities, like paddleboarding or kayaking. Students praise the on-campus housing, quality dining options, the access to Park Avenue, and, of course, the prime Florida setting brings with it warm weather, hundreds of miles of beaches, and close proximity to theme parks.

Located along the banks of Lake Virginia and defined by its Spanish-Mediterranean architecture, the Rollins campus was ranked No. 24 in the nation for its beauty and has consistently appeared in the top 20 for the past decade, peaking at the No. 1 spot in the The Princeton Review’s The Best 380 Colleges, 2016 Edition.

According to The Princeton Review, the Most Beautiful Campus ranking is based entirely on how students responded to the survey question: “How do you rate the beauty of your campus?” Focused on serving students for more than 40 years, The Princeton Review is one of the country’s leading tutoring, test prep, and college admissions services companies.
