On this incredible summer program at Hong Kong Baptist University, students will take one course taught in English, earning three transfer credits from over 30 courses offered in the areas of Business, Communication, Economics, English, Film, Finance, History, Journalism, Marketing, Religion, Science and Sociology.
Hong Kong Baptist University
- Established in 1956, HKBU offers excellent undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the arts, humanities, business, social sciences and sciences.
- Most courses at HKBU are taught entirely in English.
Courses
- Students choose from over 25 courses offered in the areas of Business, Communication, Economics, English, Film, Finance, History, Journalism, Marketing, Religion, Science and Sociology.
Housing
- Students are housed in the University's 21-story Undergraduate Halls.
- Rooms are shared by two students and are air-conditioned (separately controlled in each room).
- Each student has a bed, closet, desk and shelf, one chair, and one LAN point and WiFi connected to the University's network system.
- Linens (sheets, blankets and pillows) are provided.
- Every two rooms share a common restroom and shower facility.
- There is no telephone in the bedroom, but there are public telephones in the common areas of the Halls.
- Other facilities include a common lounge (with a small pantry) on each floor, a music/TV room, a multi-purpose room, a table tennis room, a computer room, a study room, and a laundry area.
Meals
- There is no meal plan at HKBU.
- Students eat meals at the dining halls and cafeterias on campus and at nearby restaurants.
- The cost for a meal on campus runs between $2 and $15 depending on the particular dining hall and the size of the meal.
- Options range from restaurant style to grab-and-go.
Activities and Excursions
Students will have the opportunities to experience and learn about Hong Kong through cultural and leisure activities that are built into the program
