Gatherings & Milestones

Will Graves ’77 ’78MBA was recognized by the City of Winter Park with a namesake day on February 14, 2025, highlighting his civic leadership, national media recognition, and contributions to the city.

Good Dogg Beverage, led by Scott Cooke ’80 P’07, served as the official sponsor of the 30th annual Grove Party during Alumni Weekend 2025. The company provided refreshments and exclusive alumni merchandise at the event, which drew more than 1,100 attendees. The weekend also marked 45 years since Cooke graduated with a degree in business administration. A former All-American golfer and 1990 Rollins Sports Hall of Fame inductee, he has built a successful career while staying connected to the Rollins community. His daughter, Taylor Cooke ’07, is also an alumna.

Layna Mosley ’93, professor of politics and international affairs at Princeton University, returned to campus for a scholar talk hosted by the political science department. Mosley, who serves as the founder and director of the Princeton Sovereign Finance Lab, discussed her research on sovereign borrowing and the political economy of international finance. She noted that Rollins is where she discovered her interest in these subjects and gained her first glimpse into a career as an academic. After earning her PhD in political science from Duke University, she held faculty positions at the University of Notre Dame and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mosley joined Princeton in 2020.

Jeanmarie Eck ’97 is stepping into her new role as senior minister at Unity of Delray Beach. She recently relocated to the South Florida community with her husband, David, and their daughter, Felicity, to begin this chapter.

Onward & Upward

Keith Whittingham ’01MBA, associate professor at Rollins’ Crummer Graduate School of Business, recently co-authored a paper in Business Research Quarterly on how the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are shaping corporate sustainability reporting. Curious about the gap between how companies talk about sustainability and what they actually do, Whittingham used computational text analysis to measure and compare their language with their actions. Now one of the journal’s top-cited articles, the research he produced offers insight into how companies frame corporate responsibility. Whittingham is also active in the local business community as a member of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and was recently named chair-elect of its executive committee, beginning in 2026.

Cheryl Strizelka ’20MHR is a 2025 Power 100 honoree through the Security Industry Association’s Women in Security Forum, which recognizes leadership, innovation, and influence in the global security industry.

Marcelo L. Martinez ’21DBA has been appointed to the board of directors for the YMCA of South Florida. As regional executive vice president and general manager of Hotwire Communications for Miami-Dade and Monroe counties, Martinez leads a team of 75 and focuses on driving growth across the region. His leadership and community engagement experience will support the YMCA’s mission to strengthen local communities.

Across the Arts

Mary Davis ’73 was introduced to theatre at Rollins, where the Annie Russell green room became her refuge. As a lifelong theatre enthusiast, Davis has produced and worked on numerous shows on and off Broadway, including the 2024 award-winning show The Outsiders, which garnered a Tony award for Best Musical along with several other notable accolades.

Whitney Morse ’04 recently performed as Fastrada in a production of Pippin. The role, known for its choreography and bold character work, marked a milestone in Morse’s ongoing development as a performer. After months of training at Orlando Ballet, she embraced the challenge and brought new skills to the stage at the Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol in The Villages.
