The Routledge Handbook of Religion and the Body is the first comprehensive volume of its kind to feature multi-religious perspectives on the body and embodiment.
Cornell Professor of Religion Yudit Greenberg has a new book out exploring cross-cultural perspectives on the body from various religions. Greenberg served as co-editor as well as a contributor to the anthology.
The text takes a multidisciplinary approach and borrows methodologies from the humanities and the social sciences. It addresses the body and embodied religiosity in theological, ethical, and cultural contexts. Comprised of 30 chapters written by a team of international contributors, the handbook provides a breadth of rich and innovative research, making it a must-read for students and scholars in religious studies, theology, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, psychology, history, and cultural and gender studies.
