Denise Naranjo ’12 and Ed Bustos recently supported A Gift for Teaching’s Great Big Backpack Build, helping pack 25,000 backpacks for Central Florida students in need.
In June 2025, Denise Naranjo ’12, director of marketing for A Gift for Teaching, led The Great Big Backpack Build, a massive initiative to pack 25,000 backpacks with supplies for local Orlando students. The event kicked off the organization’s “Ready for Back to School” summer campaign in an impactful way.
Ed Bustos, Rollins assistant vice president of enrollment management and director of international admission, is a former Gift For Teaching board member and led a Rollins team to join in this event at the Orange County Convention Center.
A Gift for Teaching serves as Central Florida’s primary provider of free school supplies to teachers for their students who need them most.
