The Rollins chapter of TKE was recognized as Volunteer of the Year at the annual awards ceremony hosted by the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce. The event celebrates individuals and organizations making a meaningful difference in the local community.
The honor reflects the chapter’s consistent, years-long dedication to service throughout Winter Park. From hands-on volunteer projects to partnerships that support local initiatives, TKE members have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to strengthening the community they call home.
Their annual Caddy for the Kids charity golf tournament, hosted each April at The Winter Park Nine in collaboration with Chi Omega, has raised more than $20,000 over the past four years for St. Jude and Make-A-Wish, while also reconnecting alumni with the local community. Beyond fundraising, TKE members support environmental stewardship efforts through annual cleanups at Mead Botanical Garden and a growing partnership with the Rollins Environmental Club, including projects like planting indigenous Florida trees in downtown Winter Park.
“We are extremely grateful to the City of Winter Park and its residents for the opportunity to serve, as well as to the brothers who consistently show up to support our community,” shared chapter leaders following the ceremony. “We look forward to continuing our efforts to make a positive impact.”
